Your cookie choice. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you choose Allow cookies. Declining changes nothing about how the pages work. You can change your mind at any time.
Who runs this site
parkermaths.com is run by Andrew Parker, a maths teacher and tutor based in England, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions about this notice:office@thealevelmathstutor.co.uk.
What we collect
ParkerMaths is an archive of maths lessons and resources. It has no accounts, sign-ups or comment forms, so it does not ask you for any personal details.
Like any website, the server logs each request (your IP address, the page, the time and your browser type) so that we can keep the site running and secure. These logs are deleted after about two weeks.
Cookies
| Cookie | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
cookieconsent_status | Remembers whether you allowed or declined analytics cookies. Essential: set only when you make a choice. | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_15XNX18H6S | Google Analytics: tells visits apart so that we can count them. Only if you allow cookies. | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics
If you allow cookies, Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), your type of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. We use it only to see which pages are still used. Google processes this data for us and may do so in the United States. Google explains how it uses the data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. If you decline after allowing, the site stops loading it and deletes its cookies.
Other services the pages use
Some pages load shared code from other servers (jQuery from Google, MathJax from jsDelivr), a few show videos from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo (with its do-not-track setting), and some question pages show PDFs in Adobe's PDF viewer. Your browser fetches these directly, so those companies receive your IP address. The Vimeo player also sets one short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) on vimeo.com; none of the others sets a cookie when a page loads. The site shows no adverts.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
